How HeatShield Products Fail - and How We Fix Them

• HeatShield Cerfractory Foam liner resurfacing - thermal shock cracking in Oakland’s marine climate. The Cerfractory Foam system is designed to restore clay flue liners, but in Oakland’s salt-air, moisture-cycling environment (especially in homes near the bay or in the fog belt around Rockridge), we’ve seen accelerated surface crazing where the foam layer separates from the host tile after 6-10 years.
